Keith Haring (1958-1990) was a highly influential American artist and social activist known for his unique and accessible approach to art. He gained fame in the 1980s for his distinctive visual language, characterized by bold lines, vibrant colors, and simplified, iconic figures. Haring’s work often featured themes of love, unity, and social justice, making his art not only visually compelling but also socially relevant.

Haring began as a graffiti artist in New York City, where he gained recognition for his subway drawings and street art. His iconic “Radiant Baby” and “Barking Dog” images, along with his dancing figures, became synonymous with his art.

Beyond his creative output, Keith Haring used his art as a platform to address important social issues, particularly those related to AIDS awareness and activism.
